Music heals the soul !!

As an Australian-born singer/songwriter with Chilean heritage, I am blessed to have learnt to play classical piano from the age of four. At the age of fifteen, my father bought me an acoustic guitar whilst we were both on holidays in Chile. Slowly teaching myself to play with many musical influences include composers such as Mozart & Bach, as well as contemporary artists such as The Beatles, Cat Stevens & Crowded House. With a desire to play ‘Andean’ music, I also learnt to play traditional instruments such as the zampoñas (panpies) and quena (flute).

I have performed at various folkloric & contemporary groups at venues such as the Maleny/Woodford/National/Illawarra/St Albans Folk Festivals, Enmore Theatre & the Opera House.

In more recent years I formed ‘Soluna’, a duo with my long-term partner Nancy Mattos. Together we bring our unique influences of Latin American culture, sound healing & spiritual work.

‘Sol’ (Sun) and ‘Luna’ (Moon) draws up the beautiful blend of both divine masculine and feminine energy which is ever present in our music. Soluna has released two independent albums:

“Narayani” (2018) – Meditation Music
“Jardincito” (2021) – Kids Music (Spanish)
“Blaze Your Light” (2023) – Meditation Music
“Alumbra” (2023) – Latin Music (Spanish)

‘They are Heroes” – a song dedicated to the courage of all the volunteer firefighters, local communities & devastation of flora & fauna during the 2019-2020 summer fires throughout Australia.

RIP Andrew O’Dwyer & Geoffrey Keaton (Horsley Park RFS), Samuel McPaul (Morven Brigade) & all those who have lost their lives.

After sharing the video & was contacted by their family requesting a copy of the song to be one day shown to their 18mth old daughter. I hope this story touches your heart.

The song was also included in the National Museum of Australia’s ‘Momentous’ exhibition website which shared the stories of the bushfires.

Gone through every ocean
Swam in every stream
Gone through river rapids
Down the waterfall
I’ve turned at every corner
Made it through the dust
Deserts far and wide
Down to the valley

== Bridge (x2) ==

But somehow I know
That I’m coming to you
Somehow I know
I’m coming home

Can’t wait to be coming home (x4)

I know I missed my family
I know I missed my friends
This time’s been great
But it’s coming to an end
It’s time to turnaround
And start heading back
‘Cause I know I’m coming home today !!

Can’t wait to be coming home (x4)

Can’t wait to be coming home (x4)

My breath will bring harmony
My breath is all I need
My heart will bring harmony
My heart is all I need

So I can fly so high
So I can fly so high

My soul will bring harmony
My soul is all I need
My spirit will bring harmony
My spirit it is all I need

So I can fly so high
So I can fly so high

My peace will bring harmony
My peace is all I need
My love will bring harmony
My love is all I need

So I can fly so high
So I can fly so high

My breath will bring harmony
My breath is all I need
My breath will bring harmony
My breath is all I need

So I can fly so high
So I can fly so high
